Day 1: Airport Pickup

Today you will be picked up by your Gemsbok Safaris representative from Entebbe international airport  and drive you to western Uganda. On your way, you will have a brief stop at  Uganda Equator, take photos and then proceed, Lunch break in Mbarara city with opportunities to experience the Hima pastoralists grazing their Ankole cows,  drive to the hills of Kabale to Bwindi park,

Drive time: 7-9 hours;

Day 2 Gorilla Trekking

Trek the mountain gorillas of Bwindi impenetrable park.  Enjoy an early breakfast, prepare for your gorilla trek: have gears with your trousers, gloves, long sleeved shirts, sunglasses, socks, hut, insect repellent, energy food and enough drinking water. After 5 minutes transfer from the hotel to the starting point, to briefing, and then proceed for our trekking which is open from 2-6 hours. Spend a full hour with the mountain gorillas. Enjoy your meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3 Kibale National Park Region

After breakfast, drive to Kibale national park Uganda via Queen Elizabeth national through Fort Portal. From here you can view the scenic foothills of Rwenzori, crater lakes of Uganda as well as gacier rivers of the Moon Margarita peak.  This journey takes about 4-5 hours.

Day 4: Kibale National Park

After breakfast, drive to Kibale national park, after briefing your  trek starts. You will be allowed to experience the chimpanzees for photos, for a full hour. Alongside your trekking, birds and other primates are things to see. After trekking  drive to Bigodi for your lunch and then a community swamp walk at Bigodi sanctuary.

Day 5 Departure

After breakfast, drive to Kampala or Entebbe – enjoy lunch on the way. Drop off at the airport for your onward international flight.
